[ water the seed ] is an experimental beat tape that runs the gamut of hip hop, trap, footwork, electronic and glitch music.

the title refers to the act of fostering your ideas and giving them what they need to grow.

patience is a major theme of the project, reflected both in the music and its release.

originally written in 2019, the project features skeletal production and minimal arrangements that highlight the ethereal sound design and grooves.

now unearthed for the first time, these beat sketches provide an early blueprint for some of the artist’s more recent production work as Roman Driss.
